TransparentMAPS v3.1.2 is now available for download from our Customer portal. This release adds a new map type and 2 new tags, addresses changes google has recently imposed on the Chrome browser and their Map API, and benefits from our first PHP v7 compatibility refactoring pass of the program code.
It is recommended that all users upgrade to this version to avoid downtime due to changes in google's APIs and the Chrome browser
Google's mapping JavaScript API requires that you have a API key to use their service. If you don't already have a free google Maps JavaScript API key, you can obtain one with all the relevant APIs enabled by using the following link and following the instructions:
https://console.developers.google.com/flows/enableapi
PHP v5.5 - v5.6 is required. Do not attempt to upgrade TransparentMAPS if you are currently using PHP 5.4 or earlier, or if you do not have a google Maps JavaScript API key.
Bug Fixes
- TMAPS-18 Removed Deprecated Yahoo geocoding option as Yahoo no longer provides this API and has replaced it with a subscription service.
- TMAPS-18 Removed sensors (deprecated by google)
- TMAPS-24 Fixed the administration Icons so that they work better on the "Add-ons" dropdown menu introduced in OR v3.2.10.
- TMAPS-25 Fixed missing
<br>
tags when custom fields are setup in the Info Window. - TMAPS-25 Further refinement to hide fields/values not present for the listing being viewed in the infowindow.
New Features/Improvements
- TMAPS-18 Switched from loading the maps library via google Apps to loading the Maps API directly. Google has not yet updated their apps loader to be fully compatible with Chrome v55.0 and newer, the previous method of loading maps is essentially broken.
- TMAPS-26 Code refactoring for PHP v7 compatibility
- TMAPS-27 Create 2 new map template tags: {addon_transparentmaps_showall_X} and {addon_transparentmaps_showall_link_X}. These new tags display maps in a similar way as {addon_transparentmaps_showall} and they use use the same configuration settings but map results are restricted to display all listings from a specific property class denoted by the numeric class ID (X)
** PHP versions 5.5.x through 5.6.x are supported, v5.6.x is recommended. Earlier versions of PHP are not compatible. Do not attempt to upgrade Open-Realty if you are currently using PHP 5.4 or earlier. If you receive an incompatible ionCube loader error after upgrading, you will need to also update your ionCube loader software to a newer version or request that your host upgrade it for you. ionCube v5.1.1 is recommended at a minimum, newer is preferable.
